PACTV’s internship program provides a unique and diverse learning experience for college students and high school students. PACTV’s Community Media Center has three studios, editing suites and up-to-date field equipment that is made available to interns if accepted. Interns will experience a wide-range of opportunities that may include working on our news shows, covering government meetings, assisting with promotional videos, creating social media campaigns and much more.

We have several internship concentrations that you may be interested in. We are open to interns that have varied interests and do not limit interns to one concentration. Please let us know which concentration(s) interest you the most.
Hands-on experience in our studios may provide opportunities to serve in the following crew positions: camera operator, floor director, teleprompter operator, graphic operator and audio. Shows done in our studios include member productions, government informational shows and live event coverage. In addition, we have opportunities for field production work and strong editors on projects for our four towns. You also may receive experience on PACTV’s news show, PACTV Community News (PCN.) These shows provide hands-on experience both in studio and on location, depending upon your level of experience. The news show is recorded every other Tuesday morning. Video production experience is desired especially applicants with editing experience.
Marketing, public relations and communication majors or those interested in those fields, consider this internship! Since video is a tool that most businesses will incorporate into their marketing plan, we will teach you video production basics. In this internships you may: learn about social media platforms, conduct research, perform analysis, write press releases, learn how websites are incorporated into marketing strategies, create social media content, create promotional materials and help with marketing events. If you are interested in this internship, please let us know if you have graphic design experience and/or video production experience.
Interns are accepted on an as needed basis. The internship committee meets several times a year and will review your application and resume. Please provide information or a link about your school’s internship program and confirm that you will receive school credit(s) for the internship. PACTV interns are not paid. All applicants will be contacted via email and if you are being considered for an internship, you will be invited for an interview. If you are accepted as an intern you will work out a specific schedule with your supervisor.
