Orientation

Orientation is a mandatory pre-requisite for all production classes at PACTV. The orientation session is intended to give new members an overview of rules and operating procedures at PACTV. New members will also register for classes during this session.

Mini DV Certification

Capacity: 6
Sessions: 1

This class will train the student in basic camcorder skills and provide an orientation to the Canon GL-1 MiniDV camera. This session is a minimum requirement for enrollment in Basic Non-linear Video Editing.

Digital Field Production

Sessions: 4

This series begins with and orientation and basic training with the Panasonic DVC30 MiniDV camera. This Students will then learn the mechanics and techniques of advanced EFP (electronic field production). Portable lighting, audio mixing and advanced camera techniques will be taught using pratical documentary and interview excercises. This session will qualify students for enrollment in Basic Non-linear Video Editing.

Basic Non-linear Editing

Sessions: 3

This series explores basic non-linear editing techniques with Adobe Premiere Elements. Students will learn to make edit choices, create titles, edit audio and author their projects to DVD and formats for the web. This series prequalifies students for enrollment in Advanced Post Production.
